EvoSuite

EvoSuite automatically generates JUnit test suites for Java classes, using search-based techniques to maximise code coverage. It is widely used in software testing research, with published benchmarks such as SF100 and SF110.

EvoSuite runs from the command line and through Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA and Maven plugins, and can measure code coverage. Version 1.2.0 added Java 9 support for dynamic symbolic execution, an updated Docker configuration and JUnit 5 output.

EvoSuite is open source on GitHub; the last change to the repository dates from February 2025.
