TestCafé

Node.js end-to-end web testing without WebDriver

Tool overview

TestCafé is a Node.js end-to-end testing framework for web applications. It is installed as a single npm package, requires no WebDriver and no manual timeouts, and works with common browsers out of the box; a Docker image is available for CI/CD pipelines.

Tests are written in JavaScript or TypeScript with a concise syntax that handles complex interactions such as drag and drop, native dialogs, iframes and multi-window scenarios, or are recorded in the browser. TestCafé runs tests locally or on remote browsers, concurrently in several browsers, includes a debug mode and exports reports in several formats.

The TestCafé test runner is open source under the MIT licence, maintained by DevExpress on GitHub. DevExpress also sells TestCafé Studio, a separate desktop IDE.
