Xray

Xray is a test management tool built inside Jira. Tests, test plans and executions are managed as Jira issues, so testing is tracked in the same place as development work and its status is updated in real time.

Manual, BDD and automated tests are managed together: Cucumber scenarios can be written directly in Jira, and results can be imported from JUnit, NUnit and CI tools such as Jenkins and GitLab. Traceability reports link each requirement to its tests, runs and defects. AI features draft structured test cases in manual or Cucumber format from requirements, for review before they are saved, and prioritise test cases by risk based on test history and defects.

Xray is a commercial product available in Standard, Advanced and Enterprise editions; an Xray Exploratory Testing app is also offered.
