GitHub Actions

CI/CD and workflow automation built into GitHub

Tool overview

GitHub Actions automates software workflows, including continuous integration and delivery, directly from GitHub repositories. Workflows are defined in files stored in the repository and can be triggered by any GitHub event to build, test and deploy code, review code, manage branches or triage issues.

Hosted runners are available for Linux, macOS, Windows, ARM, GPU and containers, and self-hosted runners can run on virtual machines in the cloud or on premises. Matrix builds test several operating systems and runtime versions at once; multi-container tests start a service and its database with docker-compose; live logs and a built-in secret store support daily use. Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby, PHP, Go, Rust, .NET and other languages are supported.

GitHub Actions is a commercial GitHub service with free usage allowances.
