LocalStack simulates cloud environments on a team’s own infrastructure, so that developers and AI agents can develop and validate code without touching the real cloud.

It emulates cloud services locally to test security, quality and reliability faster and more safely than in a live cloud account. Its emulation targets AWS services, and LocalStack for Azure is in public preview.

LocalStack is a commercial product with a free entry point; its core is published on GitHub.
