Soda Core

Soda Core is a data quality and data contract verification engine. Data quality contracts are defined in a human-readable YAML syntax, and Soda Core automatically validates both the schema and the data against them.

It provides a command-line interface and a Python API to generate, test, publish and verify contracts. Checks can run locally during development, be embedded in data pipelines orchestrated with Airflow, Dagster or Prefect, or run remotely when connected to Soda Cloud. More than 50 built-in data quality checks are available, on databases such as PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks and DuckDB.

Soda Core’s source code is published under the Elastic License 2.0. Soda Cloud is the commercial platform.
