Code coverage reporting tool for the Cargo build system
Tarpaulin is a code coverage reporting tool for the Cargo build system of the Rust language, named after the waterproof cloth used to cover cargo on a ship. It runs the tests of a project and reports which lines were executed.
On Linux, Tarpaulin’s default tracing backend is ptrace, which only works on x86_64 processors; LLVM coverage instrumentation can be selected instead, and it is the default collection method on macOS and Windows. Tarpaulin can also run in Docker. Options select the packages, features and files to include or exclude, and results are written as HTML, XML (Cobertura), LCOV or JSON reports, or sent to coverage services such as Coveralls.
Tarpaulin is free and open source under the Apache 2.0 or MIT licence.
