Posts linter results as code review comments
reviewdog is a command-line tool that takes the output of any linter or analysis tool and posts it as review comments on code hosting services. It can also run locally to show only the findings located in a diff.
It reads results in errorformat patterns (with predefined formats for many tools), Checkstyle XML, SARIF, its own RDFormat JSON or unified diffs for suggested fixes. Reporters post to GitHub pull request reviews, checks and annotations, GitLab merge requests, Gerrit changes, Bitbucket Code Insights and Gitea. Filter modes restrict findings to added lines, the diff context or changed files, and a fail level can make the CI job fail. It runs in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI and other CI systems.
reviewdog is written in Go and released under the MIT licence.
