AdaTEST 95

AdaTEST 95 is a unit and integration testing tool for Ada 95 code, published by QA Systems. Test scripts are written in Ada 95 with the help of wizards, then built and executed from the compiler IDE, on host or embedded target platforms.

For unit testing, it provides automated checks for Ada data types, records and arrays, and stubbing of called units. For integration testing, it tests interfaces between packages and groups of packages. The tool also measures code coverage and produces over 100 static code metrics on Ada 95 code, with checks on acceptable values that can be integrated into test scripts. Results are produced as HTML, CSV and text reports usable as certification evidence.

AdaTEST 95 is used to meet the testing requirements of safety standards such as DO-178 (airborne systems), EN 50128 (railway) and IEC 61508 (functional safety). The AdaTEST toolset was introduced in 1991. It is sold under commercial licences.
