benerator
Model-driven test data generation and obfuscation tool
Tool overview
Benerator is a model-driven tool for generating, obfuscating, pseudonymising and migrating data for development, testing and training. Data models and generation rules are described in descriptor files, and the tool produces realistic, valid high-volume test data, for example for load and performance tests.
The Community Edition is maintained by rapiddweller on GitHub under the GNU GPL v2 with exceptions; it receives bug fixes and security updates, while new features go to DATAMIMIC, presented as its successor. Benerator has been in use since 2006 (originally published by databene).
