CodeceptJS

CodeceptJS is an end-to-end testing framework for Node.js in which tests are written as readable scenarios, close to prose. The aim is to write less code and test more, with test architecture and test design practices applied by default.

The same scenarios run on top of different engines: Playwright, WebDriver, Puppeteer and Appium, so tests can target web and mobile applications and change engine without being rewritten. The authors also publish Explorbot, an open source self-testing agent built on CodeceptJS that explores a site, writes tests as it goes and runs autonomously in CI, including on paths an existing regression suite does not cover.

CodeceptJS is free and open source under the MIT licence, actively maintained on GitHub.
