Danger

Automates code review conventions in CI

Tool overview

Danger runs during a CI build to automate routine checks in code review. Rules written in a Dangerfile inspect the pull request (changed files, diff, title, description, labels) and post warnings, failures or messages as a comment, which is updated as the pull request changes.

Typical rules require a changelog entry, flag large pull requests, check that tests were changed with the code or keep lockfiles in sync. Danger works with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket Cloud and Bitbucket Server, and with many CI services including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI and Bitrise. Plugins report results from linters, test runners and coverage tools.

Danger exists in Ruby and JavaScript/TypeScript versions, with ports for Swift, Kotlin and Python. It is released under the MIT licence.
