Automated layout testing for responsive websites
Galen Framework automates the testing of the look and feel of responsive websites. Instead of comparing whole screenshots, it checks the location of objects relative to each other on a page, using a special syntax and rules to describe any layout.
Layouts can be checked for different screen sizes, and image comparison can be used for specific areas. Tests run in Selenium Grid, including cloud grids, so responsive websites can be tested on different mobile devices, and several tests can run in parallel. HTML reports highlight the failing elements with screenshots.
Galen Framework is free and open source. Its code has not changed since 2022, but the tool remains available for download.
