golangci-lint

golangci-lint is a fast linters runner for Go that bundles more than a hundred linters, so they do not need to be installed separately. Default settings are tuned to minimise false positives.

It runs linters in parallel, reuses the Go build cache and caches analysis results. Configuration is written in YAML, and results can be output as coloured text with source lines, JSON, tab, HTML, Checkstyle, Code Climate, JUnit XML, TeamCity or SARIF. Integrations exist for VS Code, Sublime Text, GoLand, GNU Emacs, Vim and GitHub Actions.

golangci-lint is distributed under the GPL-3.0 and actively developed on GitHub; version 2.15.0 was released in October 2026.
