GoogleTest

GoogleTest is Google’s C++ testing and mocking framework. It provides assertions and test fixtures for unit tests, together with gMock for creating mock objects.

The documentation includes a primer for writing simple tests, advanced topics, a mocking cookbook and cheat sheet, references for assertions, matchers and actions, and quickstarts for building with Bazel or CMake.

GoogleTest is distributed under the BSD 3-Clause licence and maintained on GitHub; version 1.18.0 was released in August 2026.
