JaCoCo

Java code coverage library

Tool overview

JaCoCo is a free code coverage library for Java, created by the EclEmma team based on the lessons learned from using and integrating existing libraries for many years. It is the successor of EMMA and the coverage engine of the EclEmma plug-in for Eclipse.

JaCoCo instruments Java bytecode on the fly with a Java agent, or offline, and measures instruction, branch, line, method and class coverage as well as cyclomatic complexity. Because it works on bytecode, it also covers other JVM languages such as Kotlin. Coverage data is turned into HTML, XML and CSV reports, and integrations exist for Maven, Gradle, Ant, the command line and CI servers such as Jenkins, as well as for quality platforms such as SonarQube.

JaCoCo is free and open source under the Eclipse Public License 2.0.
