Feedback-directed random unit test generation for Java
Randoop is a unit test generator for Java that automatically creates unit tests for classes in JUnit format.
It uses feedback-directed random test generation: it pseudo-randomly but smartly generates sequences of method and constructor calls for the classes under test, executes them and uses the results to create assertions that capture the program’s behaviour. Randoop is used both to find bugs and to create regression tests that warn when behaviour changes.
Randoop is developed at the University of Washington, distributed under the MIT licence and actively maintained on GitHub.
