Rietveld

Web-based code review tool running on Google App Engine

Tool overview

Rietveld is a web-based code review tool created by Guido van Rossum and derived in part from Mondrian, the review tool he developed at Google. It is a Django application designed to run on Google App Engine, and it was used by projects such as Python and Chromium.

Developers upload patches with the upload.py script from Subversion, Git, Mercurial or Perforce working copies. Reviewers comment on side-by-side diffs, and new patch sets can be uploaded for the same issue until the change is approved. Its public instance ran at codereview.appspot.com.

Rietveld is released under the Apache 2.0 licence. It requires Python 2.7 and is no longer maintained.
