WebdriverIO

WebdriverIO is a Node.js test automation framework that tests web browsers, native and hybrid mobile apps, desktop apps and VS Code extensions with one API. The same test runner, selectors, assertions and reporters are used whatever the platform, and it also supports visual regression testing.

It is built on web standards (WebDriver and WebDriver BiDi) and integrates with test frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine and Cucumber. Its wdio session command lets a coding agent open a browser, a phone or a desktop app, inspect and act on it, and turn what passed into a test.

WebdriverIO is open source under the MIT licence, openly governed and actively maintained on GitHub.
