Fork of AFL for fuzzing Windows binaries
WinAFL is a fork of AFL, the coverage-guided fuzzer, for Windows. The original AFL does not work on Windows because of its Unix-specific design, so WinAFL uses a different instrumentation approach that also works for black-box binary fuzzing.
Instead of instrumenting the code at compile time, WinAFL supports dynamic instrumentation with DynamoRIO or TinyInst, hardware tracing with Intel PT, and static instrumentation with Syzygy. A target function in the binary is run repeatedly in persistent mode, and the fuzzing status is shown in the familiar AFL interface. A corpus minimisation tool is also provided.
WinAFL is written and maintained by Ivan Fratric of Google Project Zero and is free and open source under the Apache 2.0 licence.
