Xray Exploratory App

Xray Exploratory App is a desktop application to run and document exploratory testing sessions. The tester defines a test charter and a time limit for the session, then records evidence while exploring the application: annotated screenshots, video and audio recordings, and notes.

All evidence is organised in an activity timeline of the session, from which a PDF report can be generated. Issues found can be created in Jira, and sessions can be linked to Xray test executions to keep exploratory testing traceable with scripted tests. Collaborative workspaces let developers, support and QA staff share their findings, with sessions stored in the cloud.

Xray Exploratory App is a commercial product from the makers of Xray, with a free trial.
