Maestro

End-to-end UI testing for mobile and web with YAML flows

Tool overview

Maestro is an end-to-end UI testing framework for mobile and web applications. Tests are human-readable YAML flows made of simple commands such as launchApp, tapOn, inputText and assertVisible, which makes them repeatable, auditable and easy to review.

Maestro provides a CLI and desktop apps (Maestro Studio) to write and run tests, and easy integration with CI pipelines. It also offers an AI toolkit so that coding agents can inspect the live screen hierarchy of an emulator or device and write and run Maestro tests. It is extensible and avoids vendor lock-in.

Maestro is open source under the Apache License 2.0 and actively maintained on GitHub by mobile.dev, which also offers commercial cloud services.
