Tekton

Tekton is an open source, Kubernetes-native framework for creating CI/CD systems. Developers use it to build, test and deploy across cloud providers and on-premises systems, with pipelines that go from source to build, test and deployment.

Tekton standardises CI/CD tooling and processes across vendors, languages and deployment environments, and works with Jenkins, Jenkins X, Skaffold, Knative and other CI/CD tools. It provides scalable, serverless, cloud-native execution out of the box and abstracts the underlying implementation.

Tekton Pipelines is distributed under the Apache License 2.0 and actively developed on GitHub; version 1.17.0 was released in October 2026.
