Behaviour-driven development tool running acceptance tests written in Gherkin
Cucumber is a tool for behaviour-driven development (BDD) that runs automated acceptance tests written in plain language with the Gherkin syntax, so that the whole team can read them. Scenarios are linked to step definitions written in a programming language.
Official implementations exist for Java (Cucumber-JVM), JavaScript, Ruby and .NET, among more than 20 platforms. Cucumber is maintained by the Cucumber open source project and its libraries are published under the MIT licence.
