Chromatic

Chromatic is a UI testing and review platform made by the maintainers of Storybook. Every change is tested in real browsers, with snapshots covering UI states, themes and viewports to detect visual regressions, interaction failures and accessibility (WCAG) violations.

Chromatic reuses tests already defined in Storybook, Vitest, Playwright and Cypress, runs them in parallel across four browsers and uses a detection algorithm designed to reduce flakiness from latency, animations and resource loading. UI Review lets designers, product managers and engineers comment on and approve changes, with status shown in pull requests and CI, and integrations with Slack, Figma and webhooks.

Chromatic is a commercial cloud service that can be started for free.
