Desktop colour contrast checker for WCAG conformance
The Colour Contrast Analyser (CCA) determines the legibility of text and the contrast of visual elements, such as graphical controls and visual indicators, for people with colour blindness or low vision. It can be used on websites, applications, documents, presentations or any other content displayed on screen.
Foreground and background colours are picked from the screen with an eyedropper or entered in RGB, HSL or hexadecimal format, and the CCA shows whether the contrast ratio meets the WCAG success criteria at levels A, AA and AAA. Sliders help adjust the colours to reach the target level, and test results can be copied in a short or long format into assessment reports.
The CCA is a free desktop application for Windows and macOS, built with Electron, from Vispero (formerly TPGi). Its source code is published under the GPL-3.0 licence.
