Faker (JavaScript)

Fake but realistic data for testing, in the browser and Node.js

Tool overview

Faker (@faker-js/faker) generates large amounts of fake but realistic data for testing and development, in the browser and in Node.js.

Its modules generate person data (names, genders, bios, job titles), locations (addresses, zip codes, streets, states, countries), past and future dates, finance data (account details, transactions, crypto addresses) and commerce data (prices, product names, descriptions). More than 70 locales produce realistic names, addresses and phone numbers for different countries.

Faker is free for commercial and non-commercial use under the MIT licence and is actively developed on GitHub; version 10.6.0 was released in August 2026.
