Fortio

Fortio is a load testing library, command-line tool, advanced echo server and web UI for HTTP and gRPC microservices, written in Go. It started as the load testing tool of Istio and became an independent open source project in 2018.

Fortio runs at a specified number of queries per second and records a histogram of execution times, from which it calculates percentiles such as p99. A test can run for a set duration, for a fixed number of calls or until interrupted, and results can be viewed and compared in the web UI.

Fortio is distributed under the Apache License 2.0 and is actively developed on GitHub.
