FuzzTest

C++ framework for writing and running fuzz tests

Tool overview

FuzzTest is a C++ testing framework for writing and executing fuzz tests, which are property-based tests executed using coverage-guided fuzzing under the hood. Instead of checking a specific output for a specific input, a fuzz test states a generic property that must hold for a given type of input.

Fuzz tests are written like regular unit tests with a FUZZ_TEST macro, and input domains describe the values to generate, such as positive integers or structured data. They run alongside GoogleTest tests, quickly in unit test mode or continuously in fuzzing mode, and the Centipede engine is integrated for distributed fuzzing. Google presents it as the successor of its previous fuzzing tools, such as libFuzzer.

FuzzTest is developed by Google and is free and open source under the Apache 2.0 licence.
