Portman

Portman converts an OpenAPI specification into a Postman collection, with contract and variation tests included. It uses the request and response properties defined in the OpenAPI document to generate the collection.

Contract tests check status codes, content types, headers and JSON schema conformity of the responses, and variation tests send modified requests to check error handling. A configuration file customises requests, assigns and overwrites variables and adds tests. Collections can then be run with Newman, for example in a CI pipeline, or uploaded to Postman.

Portman is developed by Apideck and is free and open source under the Apache 2.0 licence.
