Open source differencing and merging tool for Windows
Tool overview
WinMerge is an open source tool to compare and merge files and folders on Windows. Differences are shown side by side in a visual text format, with highlighting inside lines, and can be merged from one version to the other.
Besides two- and three-way text comparison, WinMerge compares folders (with a tree view), tables such as CSV files, images and binary files in hexadecimal view. It handles Windows, Unix and Mac text formats and Unicode, and can be used as a standalone application or as an external diff and merge tool from version control systems and other programs.
WinMerge is free and open source under the GPL-2.0 licence.
