Pa11y

Pa11y is a set of free and open source tools that help designers and developers make web pages more accessible. The main Pa11y tool is a command-line interface that loads a web page and highlights the accessibility issues it finds, suited to one-off tests.

Pa11y CI iterates over a list of pages and is designed for continuous integration. Pa11y Dashboard is a web dashboard that tests pages automatically every day and charts improvements and regressions over time, for non-developers; it is backed by Pa11y Webservice, a JSON web service that can also feed custom front ends.

Pa11y is distributed under the LGPL-3.0 and actively developed on GitHub; version 10.0.0 was released in August 2026.
