Run and test HTTP requests defined in plain text

Tool overview

Hurl is a command-line tool that runs HTTP requests defined in a simple plain-text format. It can chain requests, capture values from responses and evaluate assertions on headers and bodies, including XPath and JSONPath queries.

Hurl works with REST, SOAP and GraphQL APIs as well as HTML content, and can also be used for performance checks. In continuous integration it produces reports in text, JUnit, TAP and HTML formats, including a waterfall view of request timings.

Hurl is developed by Orange, distributed as a single binary under the Apache License 2.0, and actively maintained on GitHub.
